HISTORY OF ICICLE RIDGE WINERYWe consider ourselves a young winery with deep generational history. While our first grape crush was in the fall of 2000, our memories of this valley go back generations. The first pharmacist in Peshastin, Washington was Nicholas Bersing. He operated for many years in the early part of the 20th century from a small store on Main Street, now a local tavern. One of his daughters, Babe Bersing married Lou Wagoner, Sr. in 1945. Their oldest son, Lou Wagoner Jr., met and married Judy McClain in 1966. After raising their family on their pear orchard for many years, Lou and Judy began their new hobby of winemaking in 2000. Opening formally in September of 2002, the family began crafting many styles of wine and release approximately 20 various wines throughout the year.
